sup guys, my catalytic convertor check light has come on over the weekend after i got my engine steam cleaned. next thing i know the engine jus gave up on me!(cat was overheatin or blocked or sumthin)

after leavin it to cool down for a while it started up for me again (after like 5 seconds turnin her over). and i took it for a lil drive to try and see what the story was. the car was reluctant to go and would cut out if ur tried to put any power down so i just took it easy for a mile or so and then everythin seems to be fine now EXCEPT the cat check light wont go out!!

any ideas how to turn it off without jus yankin the bulb out??? i've tried resettin the ECU and still no joy...............any help appreciated!

 

are you sure it was the cat? cause you could have gotten moister in your distributor.

 

yeh im sure it isnt my ditributor, tis definitely the cat!
