My antenna snapped off near the base, so I'm trying to replace it right now. I already removed the locknut, spacer, and rubber washer, but am having trouble removing the base of the antenna.



As seen in the pic, I can't remove that metal piece of the antenna. I tried pulling with pliers and unscrewing it, but it's totally stuck.

Can someone tell me how to rip that metal piece off?

 

Open up the trunk, peel back the lining. There are 1 or 2 10 mm bolts that hold the base in. You remove it from inside.

 

yep, inside the trunk you'll see a pistol shaped power antenna.
is all there black and white, so have fun.
