Anyone have this happen to their EK headlights??
Has anyone had this type of fading going on with their headlamps. My lamps are turning like a yellowish color on the tops and wont go away. i guess its time for new lamps. I've been thinking of the JDM knock off headlamps in gunmetal grey.
Anyone have these lamps or any feed back?
Or is anyone had this problem with their stock headlights?
this is what i'm thinking of getting. JDM knock off from import horizon

That almost looks like overspray. Was anything spayed on the hood??
If you swap the lights, I like the ones with the clear corners best. Like the '00 Si.
Just my 2 cents.

Also happen to mine. You need to reseal the headlamp with some silicone. If I notice that mine are foggin up, I drive around with the highbeams on for an hour or two.(warning might blind other drivers)
Get some 1000 grit sand paper!
Lightly sand down rough faded area and rest of lense
Get some Course rubbing compund (for plastics)
Rub away scratch marks from sanding
Buff out with your faviort polish or wax
Now your a stunna!!

I heard that acetone actually works to remove the yellowing. I have not tried this first hand, just read it somewhere and the guy seemed rather impressed with the turn out.

, post your results whatever you do.

My wife's 99 EX's are doing the same ****. I thought about buying some knock-offs also. If I have a back up set, I'll do some experimenting on the old ones and post the results.
best bet would probably be the sandpaper thing, they even have like 1600 grit if you are afraid of sanding down too much. And yeah make sure to use that rubbing compound. This worked on my friends MX3 headlights, and also when we took off the candy apple red paint off the orange taillight blinkers on my friends Del Sol. (Hehe, oldschool), and so on. I never tried acetone on faded headlamp housings, but I don't see why it would not work. Give it a try, it won't kill it, hehe.

is that on the inside or outside?
Try some 3M Hand Glaze, It won't exactly cure the situation and make it go away, but it will clear it up for a while, then you can just re-apply it when it fades again.
Something like that is happening to my 99Si headlights but its more like pitts was gona do the really fine sand paper thing but still lookin for other opetions like plastic polishes by novus and meguiars
I have the same problem on my 96 CX. I will be tearing them apart to paint the housings, so I'll give them a good cleaning at the same time.
get the knock offs and you'll have fish tanks instead of dirty lenses, just get the oem headlight asseblies again in my opinioin, i'm sure some *** bought some dumgass projectors and puttin some oem ones on ebay...check that out...peace
