they prevent your intake manifold from getting as hot, thus reducing intake temps and making more power.

i can personally vouch for the hondata intake manafold gasket, i was kinda skeptical at first, but i went to http://www.hondata.com and i saw some good gains, since i needed an intake manafold gaskset anyway, i figured ill pick one up... and all i can say is wow... my intake manafold gets luke warm at best w/ my cai after taking out every gear...
before it was too hot to even touch.
well worth the money if u ask me
