Default Newbie to drag racing rules and regulations...

well i've gone to thetrack before but it was astreet car so it had all interior parts. me and my two of my friends are building crx drag car and wondering if we need a dash in it or can we take it out and make one out of aluminum or what are the rules so we can run? do we need a rollcage or roll bar? just wondering thanks guys
its a 88 crx hf fully gutted there is only steering wheel and colum, with d16a6 t3 turbo on 10 psi. car started at 1880 from factory. hoping for 12's and or 200WHP

depends on what class you want to run..If it is the power adder street class like nhra sport fwd then you need full interior to the back of the front seats. Jason

I'd suggest downloading all the rules from the various sanctioning bodies. The 2003 NHRA Sport Compact rulebook is already online at nhrasportcompact.com. Big file, takes a while to print, but what the hell. Having the rules in front of you is far better than hear say. By getting rules from all the sanctioning bodies, you can also see what modifications will be legal across the board.
