I'm looking to get a good set of tires for SCCA autocrossing. I'm on Michelin XGT V4 195/55/15 on 2000 GSR rims now. (CRAPPY TIRE) I'm looking at Pirelli, Yokohama, Dunlop, etc....& what about going to 205/50/R15's on the GSR rims? What are the pros & cons?

Azenis are cheap and grip great.

 

For auto-X i use Toyo proxes Z24, once warmed up, they are nice and sticky, very low ware too.

 

Azenis don't make tires to fit the stock rims

 

What kinda of stock rims are you talking about. I have them on my stock GSR 15" rims, and I saw them for 14's aswell. you must be mistaking them for another tire.

 

I'm prety sure they make azenis to fit stock rims.

he meant they don't make azenis in 195/55-15. but yes a 205/50 would be good because it's a bit wider giving a bigger contact patch. and don't worry it won't throw your speedo off much.
