I was just curious as to how much it cost to paint my whole car w/ out the engine bay. Also what colors do you guys recomend for my 94 integra. I ws thinking like the s2000 yellow or viper blue somewhere along those lines what do you think

 

This is such a widely variety of a question.

You can get a Maaco half-*** paint job, no hood, door jambs, trunk, etc. for $300.

On the other side, you can get some crazy *** paint, full interior, etc. for upwards of $3000.

I'd say anything around $1000 you'll be quite happy with. Don't go Maaco.

 

The average market rate around here is $2500. That's what two good body shops and a paint shop have said. Maaco starts at $300, but I talked to the recommended guy at Maaco and asked him how much it would cost to just do it right and it was up there, like $1500 or something. I'm getting my Teg painted; the guy that owns the tuning shop I frequent has a friend that works at a paint shop that will hook me up - a $2500 job for around $1500 incl. body work.

Need... Paint... So.... Badly....

Never go macco or atleast I would not recommned it, $2500 to $2000 is a avgerage price for a good paint job. The best thing to remeber is you get what you pay for. Something else you can do is look at some of the other cars that the shop has painted. You can check the door jams and around the trunk and under the car for over spray which will tell you the detail that is paid to the work. Also look down the panels in the sun to see if they have gotten them straight. Check around and find a good shop. Paint makes all the difference, Good Luck
