Some LS/VTEC Build Up Pics
Oh your build up looks so damn fresh. Make's me want to build my motor right now. Good luck on it. BTW what head are you using and are you modding the valvetrain with what componets?
What did you do to get the block so clean? I'm doing the same build up and pulled the motor last week, but it looked like crap. Leaky cam seal, leaky oil pan gasket, leaky this, leaky that. You know. I was just curious.

how much the block build alone cost ya? including the bore.. and also is that sleeved of just blockguard?
looks hella clean. thats what im fixin to do, but not sure if i wanna bore out to 2.0L, or just leave it at the 1.8L...? how much potential will be gained by boring out to 2.0L? especially in the scenario of a vtec head on the LS block, followed by probably a supercharger or turbo. i still havent decided on which one i want to go with after the build up.
$2500 for the whole short block with sleeves??? what a massive rip....and you're not even using honda OEM bearings...good luck with that. JE pistons with JE rings? looks like a 11.x:1 compression setup and nice sleeves. post dyno pics when setup is broken in...should be interesting to see how much whp you make with that setup. i'm sorry for flaming you with the bearings...i was just upset to see people put together LS/VTECs without using honda bearings...availability problems??? hope your setup turns out fine...
