Default Clutch

hey everyone....my clutch is grinding the hell out of 3rd and 4th gear so it is time for a new one....what clutch is best to go with....i dont have a turbo or nos and it is not in the picture so i dont need anything extreme....what clutch is best for the money??????

what do u mean by "grinding the hell out of 3rd and 4th gear"?
to tell u the truth by what u say it seems more along the lines of the tranny's synchro's going bad on ya.
if you're going for the best clutch for the best price, id say go with the exedy cerametalic (sp?)
kinda wish i went with that and not my action clutch, althought i love it(50 bucks cheaper). HTH

if my car is above 4500 rpm's when i shift from 2nd to 3rd or from 3rd to 4th it grinds really bad....i have to jam it into place......if i am under 4500 rpm's it dont do it?????i was told it was my clutch....i am only 16 so i have never felt a bad clutch or had to replace one yet so i am not sure.......

thats your syncros, it'll cost you about 500-600 to get it fix, might as well get a Type R tranny for like 1100 so you'll have lsd

thats not your clutch. thats your tranny.
the only possible way it would be your clutch is if it doesnt engage either at low RPM, then that could be a malfunction on the pressure plate or sumthing, but if only at high RPm, then its the tranny.

Yup, I had the same problem when I had my Civic. It's the synchros. Try a tranny fluid flush with Honda Genuine MTF, and see if that doesn't take care of the problem. I found that with mine, very constant tranny flushes helped prolong my tranny's death.
