ys1 tranny in an EF... which axles/ intermediate shaft to use?
.....trying to finish up a swap and the axles that we got online are binding.

you need 90-93 integra axels. and a 90-93 integra half shaft. If you dont have the half shaft call the place you got the motor from and bitch them out. retail is over 200 or get on at a yard for around 50. and dont forget the pull the dust shields out of the hubs.
I disagree. If you are using Hasport or HCP engineering mounts FOR SURE, then the best fit is a 94 or newer GSR intermediate shaft and drivers side axle and either a GSR pass. side axle or a 90-93 Integra passenger side axle ONLY.
i have a 89 hatch with a b16a and a ys1 lsd trans, i used 90 teg half shaft and 90 teg axles. works perfect, also did some research on halfshafts, they are the same on all manual trans 90+ tegs.
so will the y1 half shaft and axles not work? Using ys1 tranny with y1 axles and half. havent used em yet. please advise.

IMO the bet fit would probably be the 90-91 teg axles, but the 92 GSR should work as well
Get rid of the Y1 i-shaft
. It will only cause you problems with buying drivers side axle. The reason is because the design of the female end of the i-shaft only allows hybrid axle which means it has to be custom made. I used a 90 integra i-shaft with 90 integra axles on my y1 B16a powered CRX si. Never had a problem with them except for the normal wear and tear. HTH
Never mind it says YS1 not Y! my bad

For a completely factory-like fit, use 1986-1989 Integra outer joints and shafts with 1990-1993 Integra inner joints and a 1990-1993 Integra intermediate shaft. It fits great every time with every kit AND does not require removal of the dust seals.
