Default Need Some Suggestions on Suspension

I went to my local Rice shop looking at some coilovers and springs and stuff trying to get an idea of what I would need to drop my Rex down an 1"-1.5" from the stock height. Just so you know I am riding on 17" Konig Rated R rims with a full Wings West BK.

Anyways the guy at the store was explaining to me that Eibach Sportline springs are a bad ride and Skunk2 Coilovers were not worth the cash. He is running on Ractive Double Spring Coilovers on his 98 Civic HB. He said it is a great ride and is good for the cash. With my personal experience and friends experence with Ractive.... they suck but the guy said that this is where they did somethigng right.

Anyways what are your suggestions. I need to get rid of this wheel gap because it looks like *** on a stick. I also dont want to too low because scraping the front and rear bumper is not fun IMHO.

So what should I do? What are you guys running? I need suggestions. Do you have new shocks with your springs/coilovers? Am I retarted?
