How do I remove the charcoal canister?

Its the unit pictured on the left.
Can I just remove it or ?? And what do I do with the solinoids ( in the top right hand corner of the picture )?

That has no good reason for being remove.. If it won't help you, don't hurt it.

Actually Its an ITA race car. I dont give a **** about paint etc. I just want the least amount of **** under the hood as possible!

all it really does is take fumes from the gas tank and make them get sucked into the engine..

what's wrong with burnin fumes?

if you take it off.. it'll probably smell like ****.
to remove.. pull up really hard.. simple as that

 

Just pull it out and toss it. Toss the solenoid too. Put a vacuum cap on the throttle body port. As for the one on the fire wall, leave the vacuum line and get one of those cheap plastic $0.99 fuel filters that have a barb nipple and attach it to that vacuum line coming out of the fire wall. You don't want to cap this or you will get too much vacuum in the gas tank.
