Mugen N1 ECU compatibility with 2001 ITR
Does a 2001 ITR require an OBDII to OBDI harness adapter to install the Mugen N1 ECU??
My friend dropped the Mugen N1 ECU into his 1998 ITR without a harness adapter. I thought '98 ITR were OBDII and required an adapter.
Can someone confirm if whether a 2001 ITR needs an adapter.
Thanks in advance!
PS.
It notes on King Motorsports website:
"*Now available for 2000/01 Integra Type R.
Add $250.00 for jumper harness"

Is this an OBDI to OBDII adapter? or something else?

If the 98 didn't need an adapter I don't see why the 01's would. As far as I know they have the same ECU and are both OBDII. I'm not sure though, just going off of a guess.
96-99 OBD-II plugs are different from 00-01 OBD-II plugs.
You need a 00-01 to 96-99 jumper harness.
Speaking of that, I wish mine were here already.

Edwin,
Check out this pic:

The top ECU is a ODB IIb ECU
The one below that is 96-00 ODB II ECU
Not sure why Honda changed things around.
