Default help me pick an exhaust!

hey guys,

I'm just curious, I have a pretty much stock D16Y8, I have a CAI as a performance mod and thats pretty much it. I want to put somesort of exhaust system on for this comming summer. I'm worried that my car will sound bad without anyother mods. is this fear justified?

what exhaust do you guys sugest? I'm thinking just the muffler for now.

thanks guys

get a magnaflow and some custom piping now or you can get it later...i think some will say get oval es or something but magnaflow sounds alright in my book.

Everyone has an exhaust that they like, but the greddy cat back that was on my car when I bought it sounded nice. It was a deeper sound and didn't have the pissed off lawnmower syndrome. I just got tired of it after a while and just put a stock si muffler on the greddy piping.

Your car should sound fine as long as you dont take out the cat., then it can get raspy. the muff depends on what sound you want, the perf of the muff, the look, and the price you want to pay.

Alot of people recoment the apexi ws, I'll tell you to go with thermal R&D. The thermal doesn't sound too loud and it doesn't sound like a can of rocks. Listen to someone's exhaust, then decide. Just ask people on the street.

I have a DC Sports cat-back, and I love it. All that really matters is that you have a CAI, it goes along great with the exhaust.

i had the szigen fireball on my old 00 si. i thought that it sounded awesome. it was a perfect sound at normal driving, and sounded really good when you stomped on it. i recommend highly.

I have an Arospeed axle back that I got off ebay for $100 shipped.

Couldn't refuse at that price and it sounds good

I like how it's angled as well
