keep a/c w/ b16a swap??
how can i keep a/c with a b16 swap in a 89 hatch???? i know i can get a bracket from hasport but its too expensive for me. Is there ne other way or ne other compay that makes a cheaper a/c bracket?
well, the bracket is dough, u can use the compressor on the b16a with your system and refill it or ditch it, i had not enough room, so i plucked mine, its mad heavy with all the **** its atleast 70lbs, i dont really miss it cause i never used it, i just drop the windows and pop the roof and hit some vtec in 4th gear and thats plenty air for me lol
i live in AZ, at summer time (115 degrees) its hot as **** when u first get in ur car, it feels like an oven windows down doesn't help jack ****
three companies make a bracket to mount your stock A/C system to a b16.

yeah i've seen a website that showed how to modify a stock bracket to make it bolt to the b-series. i cant find the site anymore though.
I didn't want to spend the money for the hasport bracket but I was able to get it for 175$ from hondamotorsonline.com. I spent that cash and it was worth it... If still lived in AZ I wouldn't have had the problem spending the money for it, although.
MY suggestion NO MATTER WHAT METHOD YOU USE TO RETAIN A/C..... get thinner radiator fans... because it's a real PITA with the fatty stock ones... if I had to do it again I would have gotten some different rad. fans.

Thanks for the tip on rad fans...I am planning on reinstalling my A/C compressor soonish (using HASport bracket, $$$ but nice shiny bit of metal
). Wonder if there's enough room to put pusher fans in front of the rad/A/C condensor like some European cars do...

i just took mine out...with the weight of the fan and the compressor and all the lines it adds up in weight...but i can understand why someone in AZ would want to keep theirs...but now its winter and im not even thinkin about a/c
