Default Apex N1 paired with a test pipe

How well does teh muffler stand up to a test pipe. I'm currently selling my burned out TRM and wanted the next one to last longer. Thanks.

Wow what a guy! I bet the poor fool you sold the TRM to is a sucker. 5 Zigen, Apexi, SMSP, etc. should hold up fine.

Dont get the n1 and a test pipe unless you also get a good set of ear plugs. Its terribly loud. When I had it on my GSR, I didnt mind it at first, but after a while, I didnt even want to drive my car, thats how much it irritated me.

YES. I can answer you that from my personal experience.

It almost twice as loud as the N1 (with cat).
I just can't take out the silencer in daily driving anymore

I was thinking about getting the test pipe for the longest time, is it worth for the performance gain with the test pipe + N1?

$120 for a full cat-back isn't bad. He also knows the condition of the exhaust.

.....I have the universal n1 turbo can with 2.5" mandrel piping. It's loud as ****. I added the biggest resonator (22" magnaflow 2.5" id) and it's still loud. I ordered a baffle for the can too cause it's so loud. I wear earplugs when I drive - so does my date!

Considering mugen twinloop now to quiet this bitch down.

Does it sound raspy or does it pop when shifting?

A resonated test pipe does nothing for sound. Its just as loud as with a regualr test pipe. As least to your ears it is. The sound difference isnt noticable at all.

I can see the rpm going up faster, especially in vtec, you can feel a much harder acceleration ( all this is w/o the silencer).
I haven't get a chance to go dyno the car....so I cannot tell you an exact number in gain.

Btw......You will also see/ feel a bigger different in perfromance with and without the silencer once you use the test pipe
