I needed some emergency brakes on the VX I just picked up, and a friend let me use some civic Sir front calipers/rotors that he had. They are definitely bigger than the VX brakes that I had, and work better too. What I wanted to know, are they basically the equivalent to a 6gen. EX/Si front brake setup? (Id do a comparison with my EX, but its damn cold out and Im not standing in the snow to do it.) Thanks for any help guys.

 

someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the SIR brakes are the same as the integra GSR brakes.

 

If thats the case, that would make them the same as what I am thinking (6gen EX/Si) Thanks!

I hope you have a different set of wheels. The 13" vx wheels will not clear the sir calipers.

 

I can confirm. Yes, GSR size brakes.

 

I definitely had a different set of wheels, my buddy lent me his 14" steelies he had around. Its a shame though, I liked the little VX wheels, but there was no getting around it.

yes, they are the same size. and no, your vx's wheel won't clear. however, you can used the 14's HX but you may have to ground down the caliper a slight bit.
