Heres my question:

I have an 89 crx si, i replaced the driver side door on my car. So i just went out to replace the lock on the door from my old door. The replacement door is off of a 90 or 91 crx. My question is, do u have to lift the handle when unlocking the door from the outside of the car, (in a similar fashion to locking the door from the inside of the car, u have to open the door handle a little bit) on 90 and or 91 crx's????


What can i do to prevent having to lift the handle to lock and unlock my driver side door from the outside?? Because as is, anybody that tried to unlock my car with a key would probably break the unlock mechanism on the inside of the door???????

if you take out the locking mechanism from the door play around with it and try to find the small pin that stops the lock from locking when the handle is down/in. understand so far?
when you find the pin take a flaty head screwdriver and bend the pin out of the way. that way you can lock and unlock your door with the handle up or down...

The only time you have to lift the handle to unlock it is when the door is open if the door is closed you dont have to lift the handle.
