Default Sparco Torino fitment

I was about to buy the Torino for my 99 Coupe, but I was curious at the fitment... I typically like my seats pretty low, and was wondering how it compares with the stock 99 seats. Also, does anyone know how the stock 3-pt seatbelts work with the Torino? Any odd interference (e.g.: the belt catching on the shoulder bolster or something) at all?

TIA!

You`ll need the "street" rails in order to use factory seatbelts. They sit a tad lower that stockers seats. I have a set of "street" eg/dc which would work if you don`t mind drilling one new hole. $125 for the set w/ sliders.

Just curious--what would the street rails have to do with the seatbelts? It doesn't seem like they would be related. Are there other types of rails? Would I be correct in assuming the "height-adjustable" rails only make the seat sit higher and not lower?

because the rails need a flange on them so you can bolt the factory buckle to it. Without the buckle, you can`t use the stocker belts.

Ahhhh... OK I gotcha now... but I thought the left seat belt anchor is attached to the B-pillar, and then the right belt anchor (w/ the buckle of course) is mounted to the left side of the central tunnel?

negative, both attached to the seat with a 14mm bolt. You remove the seats and you remove the buckes.

Heheh... it's a lot easier to look than to theoretically figure it out! I just checked and you're right... the side w/ the buckle attaches to the seat. However, the left side (of the driver's seat), attaches to a point a couple of inches fore of the B-pillar.

So which brackets can I use for the Torino that will have the inboard mounting position for the stocker belts?

I tried to buy a set for ek and they were backordered. You can buy the "comp" rails and have the flanges fabricated or buy the ones I have for sale and drill a new hole.
