Anyone know who sales mugen at a good price? I'm looking for the 4-2-1 header.

Also have a question about the header. What sise pipe is it? If it bolts up to the stock cat then it must be stock size at that end right? ...or can U get it in a bigger size and then get a new bigger cat/exahst?

 

If you get it from japan directly, then it will be unmodified and the collector is a bit bigger not sure how much. But if you get it from KING, they will modify it for you so that it does fit the usdm cat.

Where? R&D or IPS RACING should have pretty good pricing.

 

It's going to be right around $1000 no matter where you get it from. Email James at http://www.performance-evolution.com. He used to be able to do about $975 shipped on it... The other option is to keep an eye out for a used part. They pop up every once in a while.

Collector output is 60mm. It bolts right up to the US cat. However, the flange on the input side of the US cat is a few mm smaller (I want to say 58mm?), so it's a slight bottleneck. But there's not too much you can do about that if you want to remain in STS.

It is important to note that Mugen header that is sold in Japan only fits the US TypeSH model. The ones that are legally imported to North America are specially modified by either Mugen or King Motorsports to fit the US Base model. So if you order a grey-market Mugen header, be sure it is the one modified to fit your US Base model.

You'll love it. It's a great header design for AutoX. It really helps out on the low-end. I got +6-13HP all the way across the rpm range with just the Mugen header and cat-back (stock cat).

That may be true about the Mugen B series headers, but it's NOT true about the Mugen H22A header. The Mugen H22A header has a 60mm collector - exact same diameter for the US one as the one sold in Japan.
