How do you empty air conditioner fluid properly yourself?
take a screwdriver and punch a small hole in the condesor. seriously though thats what we used to do to the cars at the body shop that i used to work at. it was a big dealership too.
is the bleeder valve the one in the front of the condenser that you can see when you look in the grill?

yeah if you look at the skinny AC piping coming out of passenger side firewall you will see a bleeder valve coming off of the top one...or do what i did when i was a noobie, just start detaching the AC hoses from the AC compressor and then find out its pressurized as the **** sprays all over...that was fun.
Just take it somewhere and have it emptied for you. They'll hardly charge you anything, and you can feel good about it.

when u let all the pressure out of the nipple or whatever does that mean there is no more air conditioner fluid left and i can start ripping stuff out or what?
just cloud the air .. and take a couple rips off it too.
R12 smells like ***...
But yes, the correct way is taking it to a shop... Better for our Enviroment.

they should almost pay you if its R12. That stuff is worth 30-45 dollars a pound and a typical system holds 1.5-2.0 lbs. R134 is safe to release into the environment but our older cars, unless converted to the new stuff, uses R12

"accidental" discharge of freon is legal. Ooops.
Take care of it properly! You let it into the air, and you contribute to ozone damage.
1 molecule of R12 or R134 will take out 30 molecules of ozone, not a joke.
If I ever saw someone bleed it into the air, I would not hesitate to report them. You also get a hefty reward for doing so. I'd also like to beat the living **** out of the person doing it. Think about your kids and the future. Ozone does not fix itself very quickly.
The fine for letting it into the air can be up to $25,000 per incident.
DON'T BE A ******* HICK MORON, take it to a shop to be recycled!! That's not funny **** letting it into the air.

Freon right out of a vehicle is considered contaminated and must be recycled before being reused.
