i have a '92 accord lx, how would i go about taking the factory speakers off of my front doors(driver and passenger side) so that i can replace them with pioneer speakers? it looks like i will have to pull off the entire inside-door panel to do it, but i would prefer not to.

also, how do i pull out the factory cd player so i can replace that too?

I believe there are a few screws that hold the grills on the door panels. I changed mine before without having to take of the door panels. This should be posted in the Audio/Security forum.

but sorry, i didn't realize there was a separate audio section.

 

on 6th gen coupe i need to pull the whole panel out,
but it's easy after you got one side done.
but on my beater(legend 90')then some tabs that you
can pull off so you only need to take out the grill
and the lower panel.

 

I did an upgrade on my 92 ..actually there are awhole lot os screws and crap that you have to take off .. for the speakers you ahev to take the pannel off but not all the way and for the player you have to take off the gear shifter cover E brake cover ashtray and some screws from the dash and aslo have to get a harness that would fit the factory mounts .. also the harness kits should come with instructions ,mine did. but try the search option..
