I'm Getting a code 8...what does it mean?
After we replaced the distributor on my 93 Accord LX, I am getting a real low idle and it cranks a lot before it fires. Yesterday, the engine light came on. I did the paperclip trick and it flashes 8 times, all short. This means a code eight. Am I correct? I researched and it seems a code 8 means a "Top Dead Center Sensor" error. What exactly does this mean and how do I fix it? Could it be that my timing is off?
Thanks

Your Top Dead Center Sensor is bad or you unplugged it while changing your dist..

on your car the sensor is in the dist. It is either bad, or the wiring ir on wrong. chances are with a aftermarket dist.,you got a bad one.
