sorry i'm a n00b trying to install spoon calipers, everything was sorta succesful but one thing. my breaks aren't working at all. after i disconnected the break line, i connected it quickly to spoon caliper. barely any fluid spilled after i put in the lines to each side. after i put the wheels back on i pumped the breaks but the breaks still aren't grabbing? sorry flame me all you want but i need help quick. TIA.

good try, but yeah what they all said.
reason is that there was air in the cavities of the spoon calipers... even though your brake lines didnt get much air in them.... you still have a tube of hydraulic fluid now pushing on air. Air compresses, liquids do not. So when you push the brake pedal, any air in the lines or calipers will compress, so that absorbs the force of your brake pedal/foot and prevents the pads from moving onto the caliper. Now, interestingly enough, if you had filled the calipers with brake fluid you might have had some brakes... just ultra mushy... wonder if they woulda worked somewhat at all that method... not that I recommend it

yep, good thing you didn't go out and try to stop in a busy area.
Andy: who would have done the same think if he didn't learn how to bleed breaks from his old man when he was 10.

seriously, do some ppl not know how to spell "brakes"?
i understand typos and whatnot, or even shortcuts, but there are a lot of ppl who seem to spell it as "breaks" for some reason...
