its a great alarm.. had it installed since the first day we had any in stock at work.. i gave up my viper800esp for this one in hopes that it would do what i want, tell me where my car is being f'ed w/ and it does.. its great

Only problem I have heard of is that it goes through batteries hella quick, is that true?

depends on how you have the remote setup for example, vibrate, page, etc.. its not a long life lithium ion or whatever like the old remotes, its a AAA battery so it doesnt last as long but its lasted a while..

Is there a low-battery indicator? I'm thinking about buying the same alarm, but don't wnat to be carrying AAA batteries for piece of mind.

yes there is a battery indicator.. and it warns you when it is getting low..
