I need new shocks...what should I go with
I need new shocks any suggestions on what to get for a good price? I have a 93 Civic hatch with bouncy coilovers on it now with stock blown to hell shocks.
Only shocks I'd get:
KYB AGXs - ~$300-350
Tokico Illuminas - $400+
Bilsteins - $430+
Koni Yellows - ~$550++
Or True Coilovers. My next suspension would be True Coilovers or GCs (custom spring rate) w/ Koni Yellows. Right now i'm rocking H&R Sports & KYB AGXs. Check signature for pictures.

Koni yellows are excellent, i've had some for a little over a year and a half now and i love them. When you make them stiff they handle very well and you can make them soft and the ride feels like stock. I like making it soft on the freeway so you arent bouncing around all the time. Koni yellow
its TEIN, and it would depend on how low of a drop your doing your coilovers. the KYBs i wouldnt trust with anything more then 1.5 if past that i would definitely save up for some KONI YELLOWS Im picking those up in january to go with my NEUSPEED RACE springs.

i can get some used tokico blues that were used for 2 months for $120 or some brand new kyb GR2's for $100 if the guy decides to ship them to me. the tokico blues i can get from a local guy. so would they be worth $120? i have some aerospeed coilovers on my hatch. (the coilovers came with the car when i bought it) i bounce like crazy and i just want new shocks already.

For the price of Tokico Blues, I think you'd be much more satisfied w/ KYB AGXs because of adjustability to setting you like.

well adjustable are not only useful for autocross, but even at the 1/4 track, you can reduce wheel hop.................anyways
I would reccomend KYB AGX's, I have koni yellows myself, and for $500.00, you should just go the next step and get the full TEIN coilover system.
I'm not a fan of Tokico illuminas, althout the problem is only with people that set them on full stuff, they've had a reuputation for blowing/wearing out in under a year, though it is true with all shocks if u always have it on full stiffness......

First off unless you participate in autoX or track you car I really dont see the necessity in having adjustable shocks unless you enjoy playing with the stiffness. (which some of you do enough with your right hand

KYB ABX's are good bang for the buck. Rode in a CRX with them and that thing felt soooo good. Also my buddy has them on his teg. He's a member here I think it's Neo1z or something not sure. Ask him. He likes the ride
I have AGXs and I like them alot, I am also running them with drag launch springs, so it's still a slightly harch ride, but not to bad.
