Default Salvage value on a 97 type r

I am considering buying back a 97 type r from the insurance company. Do you know about what the insurance company would want for the car?

be careful what you buy. most insurance companies let the owner take any mods back off the car from the junkyard. Sometimes people swap cams, trannies, whatever. So just beware before you buy cuz it might be a nightmare.

However there are some cars like my friends gsr that was auctioned off. He swapped his 2001 GSR cluster off his totalled car and put a 95 gsr cluster in there so he could have the new one. The car only had 25,000 miles on the motor....the cluster said 90,000. So whoever bought that gsr got a brand new motor and they don't even know it.
