225 or 205 BFG drag radials
225/50/15.......my TA blows them away!!!!!!!!!
If you can get past the gearing of the taller tires, go 225!
FYI I went with 225/50/15 BFG G Force DR on my 86 TA to helping with the gearing. The 225's are barely 24.0" OD whereas the stock tires are almost 26"!
My TA with 3.27 rear acts same as car with 3.73 on stock size tires.
Also note, 9psihybrid was running 225/50/15 BFG DR GForce and posted a low 12 sec pass. To bad I tok him out in the second round due to hie tuning issues.

I think http://www.tires.com sells 7 inch steel rims with a 4x100 bolt pattern. Like $40 a rim.
Rota C8's would be a good rim.

You can get your rims made wider to fit the 225. But I know alot of people running the 225 on 15X6.5" rims. They seem to work great..

so the rim is 15x6.5, big deal.
9psi hybrid ran a 12.2 with that rim and 225/50/15 BFG G Force DR. He said his best was a 11.8 and I believe him!
BTW he drove the car to the track and back home (about 100 miles oneway!) on the DR's

who doesnt drive on Drag radials?
but if there's barely tread left, i wouldn't. once i drove in the rain with them.ok i just want to know. those that are running 225's are you guys boosted?
I ran 205/50-14 BFG DR's last summer. They worked real well- consistent 1.9 sec 60 fts. my 1st time on them at the track. I think 1.8's are achievable with a little more practice. Anybody here run 1.8's with DR's?
