i ran a search and came up with the usual alternator and battery and spark things.

now tell me if my problem is different. or if i should try those things. my car will start up after cranking 3-4 times which is normal for a 12 year old car (IMO). but then after driving itll crank real slow and wont start up. i give it a couple of minutes and then itll start. also ive noticed when im driving and am not moving, my rpms drop real low to like 200 and the car vibrates like crazy, as opposed to the normal 800-900 rpm idle i was used to. could this be a battery or main relay? perhaps tomorrow ill go to peppy boys and see if they can run their magical tests. if anyone has any input lemme know. thanks

 

your battery is not recharging properly, go have your alternator tested

 

Also try having your fuel pump and fuel filter checked there is a possiblity of not enough fuel getting to the engine .. we 've had some problems with that lately cuz of bad fuel .. and the problems sound just like yours ..rpm dropping car shacking not wanting to start.. also i had this problem with this surf ( a turbocharged 4runner) that was doing the same i changed the fuel pump and filter but it was doing the same ..found out the flywheel was broken now how that happened i have no idea but after replacing that baby ..it is running peachy...
