ok, here's the situation. i need to change the valve cover gasket on my sohc zc. i've never attempted something like this before, but my friend who has an 89' crx si (same as me) has done it, or knows that it's easy. he told me i need honda bond and the valve cover gasket from the dealer.

my question is will the valve cover gasket for the d16a6 be the same as the sohc zc? i know they are very similar motors, but i wanna be sure, and want everything to fit correctly. any help on this topic would be great, as i can't get ahold of the friend that initially was helping me with this. my initial thoughts tell me that i'd be fine with the d16a6 valve cover gasket, but i wanted to double check with you guys to make sure...

 

Yep they are the same gasket. Get the valve cover gasket and the small gaskets that go around the spark plug tubes. Use a little hondabond and you will be good to go.
