Default 233 WHP, 167 WTQ -- All Motor DC5

I tried searching and looking to see if this was already posted but I couldn't find anything. If it indeed is a repost, sorry.

Anyway, I don't have an RSX but I came across this post while surfing. 233 WHP and 167 WTQ from an RSX Type-S. Pretty impressive if you ask me.

His mods are: AEM CAI, Comptech Header, Comptech Cat-Back Exhaust, Test Pipe, JDM Type-R Cams, Apex-i S-AFC, and Hondata ROM flash.

Dyno sheets are in the thread. Both corrected and uncorrected.

Hope this helps you all.

You forgot to mention his "60 Shot NOS Wet System". I would not consider that an "all motor" RSX. Nice power numbers nonetheless...

He stated in the thread that the 60 Shot NOS Wet System was not used during his dyno runs.

Well sir, then I call BS. It's pretty obvious that N2O was used for the dyno runs. Just look at the jagged-ness of his dyno plot. There is no way he got 230+ WHP with just some bolt-ons and mild cams... The numbers themselves just don't add up unless the dyno run was done on the bottle.

That's exactly why the top-end of his plot looks so sh*tty. Judging by the dyno plot, I would guess that he was likely running super lean and detonating at 7200rpm+.

wouldnt there probably be more hp, if there was a shot of n20? that seems kinda low if there is laughing gas going through the system

60whp gain with those bolt-ons, no way. if that were true i'd be at the acura dealer right now with my cell phone calling up AEM, Comptech and a Hondata dealer.......complete BS.

I don't know why its so hard to believe. Hondata is making tons of power with this engine. A nice set of ITR cams and a test pipe (the cat being a major power robber in the rsx) would add tons of potential for power.

I can expect disbelief and scorn from Anti-RSX.com...I mean, Honda-Tech.com, but it really isn't as far fetched as it sounds.

I don't know Hondata is ok with people posting their plots w/o permission, but just take a look at this link http://www.hondata.com/k20arelease.html

They made 216HP with K20A internals and revised ECU mapping.

Complete BS.
That guys dyno graph peaks at 7400. That is 30+ more hp then the Hondata at the same rpm.
Not to mention, the TQ number are rediculoisly high. The curve is not even close to a K20 curve. What up with the dip, what up with the top end.
BS.

Hondata - 20hp
Test Pipe + Comptech header & Catback - 20 hp
AEM Cai - 10 hp
Type R cams - I have heard these are very similar to the stock type S ones so i dont know

but thats 50 Hp...and 50 Hp with a car that has 175 baseline makes 225 corrected...its believable

Are you the guy who is being discussed in this thread? Because there's no way that you're making that much power with those minimal mods, unless the K20A2 defies physics.
