Frustrated and need help.
Well I got the car all ready for the initial start of the engine. Turbo is on body is done...everything is ready to go. So I disconnect the oil feed line to the turbo just to see if im getting oil out, and what do you think happened.....Nothing came out while I was cranking the car for about a minute( I did put some oil in the cylynders since i haven't started it in a few months) What do I do? I checked the pickup in the oil pan and nothign was wrong.
Where do I go from here. DO I just take the engine out and change the pump? How hard is that and does anyone have a tech on how to do that?
Is there anyhting else I can check or any way I can check the pump without pulling the motor?
Thanks guys, oh and I did have oil in it
its a b16a2 in a 92 hatch

where is your oil feed line coming from? also, i believe that engine rpms is what it takes to get oil going. so if your trying to just crank the engine, there's probably not enough speed to get oil to pump.
the oil line is taped off the oil sending unit on the backside of the block.
as far as I was aware cranking should cause oil pressure, and a flow to the turbo.
if tnbigdawg is correct should I just start the motorand see what happens?
thanks for the help.
