Default what do i do i am building a D series motor

well i have my mind set of what i am going to do to my d series head i am gonna cut the head .06 and then i am going to do a slightly aggresive P&P and put some valves and valves prings retainers and i am going to put a JG 301x cam or comparable cam for the sohcvtec head. I am just wondering if it would be better to use the d16z6 head or the d16a6. I have a d16a6 motor but i have done the obd1 wiring before and if it is going to be that much faster i would be willing to do it...just wondering if its going to be that much faster. tHANKS IN ADVANCE

dont forget about the y8 head....valves are like 1mm bigger in diameter (intake or exhaust or both, cant remember now), also the distributor from the a6 head is a bolt on, unlike putting the a6 distrib. on the z6 head.

but if your gonna p&p, i dont know if there would be huge differences. but the larger vvalves of the y8 might be a good thing. plus the newer heads flow alot more than the stuff from 12 years ago!

sorry im not much help...just make sure you think of all of the possibilities before you spend$.
