well if you don't use your cruise control(not a/c.. heh) anymore .. you can pop the switch out and you'll understand it abit more .. i've never tried this on a teg .. so the colors might be diff.

the easy way is to just buy a toggle switch from autozone or something .. throw ground and power to it .. then splice the other terminal to A12 .. i'm pretty sure A12 is the same for the teg and civics ..
I have one, just bought a toggle switch, and ran the wires into the engine bay to the fan. Works good for stupid CA traffic to get the air moving in advance if you don't want to wait for the car to turn it on.
or even better then having to remember to turn on the fan, you could buy an after market thermal switch that will give power when it hits a certain temp...they have different ones to choose from. Maybe your stock sensor is bad or the terminals just need to be cleaned a little? It might not be working at all and could be a real easy fix...

:1- Where can i find an aftermarket thermal switch and info?
2-Where is the sensor and what terminals do you speak of?
I know where my thermostat is
Thanks a lot
An aftermarket thermal switch you could get at a parts store like Kragen of Pep Boys or something. It might be off a ford or anouther factory car. The stock sensor is on the thermostat housing. It has a plug thats in your factory wiring harness. sometimes the connectors corode inside and just need some contact cleaner sprayed in there. Sometimes the sensor just goes bad. Heres a real easy trick if you want it to run all the time. On the wirring harness side, just run a jumper one one to the other and it should turn the fan on all the time when the cars on. If not, its a problem in the harness somewhere or a fuse or something.
what i did was first of all hot wired my fan relay so that if i take my key out, the fans will run if they still need to.
but i took a toggle switch (2 prong) and ran a wire from each side of the switch . One of the wires you can take to a ground and the other you tap into either wires on the coolant temp sensor.
i also wired a small LED and relay so that i know whenever the fan turns on.

goto coolant fan switch, wire in a SPST switch on 16 gauge speaker wire.
You basically "short out" the coolant switch making the fan run at will.
I run 13's on a SOHC, THINK about it.

I just used the +12v terminal in my fuse box that turns on when the car does. My fan is always on when the car is on. Of course I ran the fan's ground to a ground too. This seems to work really well.

coolant fan switch is on the back of the thermostat housing. Splice in a wire on both leads at the fan switch with speaker wire, run to a switch anywhere you choose.
I didn't even bother to solder the connections.
I did this wiring hack over 4 years ago!
