Hondata or AEM Ems?
Both systems work good. You should find a tuner you trust and go with the one he is more familiar with. A system is only as good as the tuner.
AEM EMS.
Your obdII so you'll send up spending just as much on hondata, because you gotta go ODBI ecu and get conversion kit.
EMS is a lot better for the future.

Great point, now what if all the tuners in your area suck (maybe not the best word I just haven't seen any quality work) and you plan on traveling to have your car tuned? The thing I also worry about with traveling to have the car tuned is that once I bring it back home it still will not be in the best state of tune due to the differences in things like humidity, altitude ect. Maybe I am being overly concerned about this but for what I am spending I expect good things and don't want corners cut. This sucks maybe I shouldn't continue with my project. Any one have any ideas of what I could use to combat this?

can not get more precise than that. Right now i have Hondata, but when i more back to Texas, i plan to get AEM EMS, because i know two great tuner in the area.
Hondata, 333fwh, 245 torque, stage 4 with boost on a b16a 18psi. Easy system to use Doug will answer any question, grat tech support a Hondata.com. User board, A tuners library. My freind is the tuner, he has the wide band that Hondata sells. You can run open or clodes loop, set it for any size injectors, i get 30 mpg and 333fwh. I is the best thing for a honda since sliced bread. My friend wants to by a honda just for its tuneability. Once the chip is burnt thats it. Ecu acts normal, don't have to retune for the weather. You can adjust your idle thru hondata, your start ups, vtec point, turn a/c comp on/off. unlimited tuning. greatful hondata owner in ct.

if ur paying someone to tune it and already have obd-1 u can get off extremly cheap(compared to most standalone tuning) for a hondata 2b or s100 set up tuned. But like tony said, go with whichever system ur tuner is most familiar with.
I keep hearing: Go with the system your tuner is most familar with
What if someone doesnt have a tuner
or doesnt want anyone to tune their car,
and has a wideband.
Which system is best to get and become familar with?

Seems like everyone runs them
Well, our dyno is in the ground and should be finished early this week. So, hondata tuning will be available very soon. I've got to get the equipment to do so and then we're set. Expect in the next couple weeks or so...

AEM all the way. You can download the new maps yourself and practically tune it yourself.
Its not like adding a DVD player to your TV / stereo. Its not like installing a stereo in your car. Its not like installing a boost controller. Its like ******* launching the space shuttle.
Ok i exaggerated a bit.
But when they say PLUG and PLAY they mean PLUG it in and PLAY with it for hours... NOT drive off to the dyno.
If you don't like ******* with computer / electrical stuff. Then get a hondata and drive to Tampa, cause VaporTrail knows what he's doing. And he's the only/best hondata tuner I've met and seen his work personally.

I agree with this post HOWEVER, IF YOU ARE NOT MECHANICALLY / ELECTRICALLY INCLINED, DO NOT EXPECT TO BE ABLE TO FIGURE OUT THE EMS BY YOURSELF.
