Default Intake air temperature sensor

How does the intake air temperature sensor works? The hotter the air, the higher the resistance of the sensor? Is that how it works? If the air is cold, the computer will put more fuel in right?

Thanks

Per Helms the resistance goes up with colder temerature and down when the air gets hot. 15K ohms at -4 degress F 0.1K ohms at 230 degrees F.
