Well its getting closer to the big day...the day that i put in my engine. Im getting all of the stuff in order so that i can have it all on the engine when it goes in the car. Well im having a hard time deciding what clutch to buy. Im planning on turboing it in the near future...wanting to have around 230-250hp(not at first but i want to get there). I need help with this decision. It would be really helpful if you could tell me what kind of clutch you have and how you like it. Oh BTW...i deliver pizzas for extra $ so i drive it alot and id like to keep my daily driveability. Thanks in advance

Go with ACT. I had a Clutch Masters Stage for in my old EG turbo hatch, switch to an ACT Xtreme pressure plate with a hybrid street disc and I've never been happier. I'm definately putting one on my CRX when I drop my b16a in.

Thanks for the votes but some replys would be better at this point. Who has a turbod CRX and what type of slutch do you have? The stock type r clutch wont be able to take too many shifts into boost before it burns up...its setup to hold alot of high end hp not low to mid range boost. And ill be sure to call up Osama and tell him that if he doesnt quit bombig im gonna shove my sive 10 and 1/2 up his ***...WHILE SMOKING A J!!! Thanks

im on my friends name mine isXEF_8X i got an act 6 puck from my local honda dealer complete kit for 320. i couldnt be happier. ive had one b4 on my zc as well.
act tends to destroy transmitions. on hondas, mitsu, pontiacs, fords, chevys etc. act clutches are primarily designed for race use only... all of them are.
Couldnt agree more. And the pedal feel is ****. I like something close to stock. Exedy for sure

BTW, I have used nothing but ACT for my clutches and have had no problems.

ACT Stage 1. I know a guy running a JDM B18C with a turbo and slicks (runs mid 12's) and his has held up this whole time. Plus Raene LOVES his!
We are all using Ottawa clutchs Bully clutch it is feramic and stock pressure plate and stock pedal feel we have a few cars running 546hp and 450hp and 320hp on them and no problems
i'm the one who listed stock type R. sorry it won't fit on your application (we still don't know which motor or tranny) the quality and feel of a stock clutch cannot be met by an aftermarket clutch (in my opinion). i have an exedy clutch, and it chatters. my friend had one, guess what, it chattered too. my vote is that if you can possibly find a stock clutch that will fit, go with that over an aftermarket. another idea is to get a stock pressure plate and an aftermarket clutch disc. hear that works really well.
I live in a city and i had a two types of ACT's, one was a 6- puck, chattered alot, made noise while engaging, needs to time to get used to, and grabs hard! Good for track racing. 2nd one, a street, smoother engaging, doesnt chatter, grabs ok, good for daily driving especially for working the delivering pizza's.. there both pretty good...But i'd say go for a street n strip
. It has both charateristics
