cracked rear brake shoe for '95 accord
The rear brake shoe is cracked in the back and I suspect that's what makes the car squeal annoyingly while braking. So should i just replace the whole back brake shoes? They were put in a couple of months ago, but for some reason it cracked. Is it hard to replace the shoes, and do I have to bleed the brakes? Does anyone know a tutorial online to replace them? TIA
who replaced them a couple months ago? Drum shoes should last a looooooong time. It is a dirty pain in the *** to do, but all you really need is some pliers. If one shoe needs to be replaced than you have to replace all four.
When you replace them, jack the rear of the car up and put it on jackstands. Pull both wheels and drums off. Take one side apart and if you can't remember how to get it back together, just use the other side as a reference. That's what I did my first time...
