Car is running lean under full throttle boost..
I just finished installing my turbo last night and now when I hit more than 2-3 psi of boost my car goes very lean then cuts out. If I build up boost slowly with only partial throttle it seems ok but goes lean. If I floor it, it goes lean imediatly and cuts out. I am running a MSD inline fuel pump, Adjustable fuel pressure regulator set @ 40 PSI and a Vortech 12:1 FMU. I have a missing link for the map sensor. My CEL is on (even when I reset ECU it comes right back on) and my speedometer doesn't work. Also my car idles at 700 when I start it up but as soon as I drive it starts idling at 1500 all the time. But if I turn it off then back on it idles at 700 again. Any ideas what could be wrong. Speed sensor? Would it put my car into limp mode if the speed sensor went bad? Thanks for any help.
find out what the code is but if the car is retarding the timing because of the cel you could pre-ignite and lean out..... my car did that for a while, just a idea but find out what the cel is for first... it might be fuel also bad injectors/sticking to many things it could be........
dude i had the same identicle problem, one day it just stopped and worked fine. I dunno. Id like to know this just for future references.
I found out the CEL was from a bad fuse to the VSS/Alternator. Would that CEL cause any kind of ignition retardation or limp mode? Or does my lean problem go even deeper?
yea the vss will cause a check engine and retards the timing.... because vtec runs off vehicle speed also....so if it sees a problem it may retard the timing... fix that and see if it still does it

I doubt the VSS sensor is your fuel problem.
I didn't see you mention that you used an inline pump in conjunction with the 12:1 FMU... did you? Make sure the disc is not stuck. It sounds like you're getting no rich enrichment in boost whatsoever. Do not boost any more until the problem is fixed.

Sorry, I do have an MSD inline fuel pump, also MSD SCI. Could it be because I have the adjustable regulator between the stock one and the 12:1. Could this be blocking the fuel from geting to the 12:1 to build up the pressure that my car needs?
