Everytime I order something I wait and wait and wait and then the UPS man brings it to me. And everytime....I get shafted. I ordered the 94066 2.5 Cat from Dave at SMSP. I paid 185 plus shipping and COD and it came out to 204 dollars. My car has been out of commision for about a week and a half now because I have been waiting for this cat.
So I am getting ready to install it........I open up the box and what do I see? a 94066 cat which is done very nicely by Dave....but where is the donut gasket??? and the three bolt gasket????
F'in great. Now I have to wait another f'in two weeks to get some f'in gaskets??? F#%$!!!!!!I want to drive my car dammit!!! So should I go get the s2000 gaskets or should I wait. This really pisses me off.
**** it....someone help me out and let me know what the part nuimbers are. I think I need the s2000 donut gasket which needs to be 2.5 " and what three bolt gasket should I use??? The one from my old exhaust is too small.....AgHHHHH

to make it even worse....Dave is too busy to answer the phone....On a lighter note the cat is really well done. I must admit I am impressed with the worksmanship. I would have been a happy camper if the gaskets came with it like they were supposed to. *sigh* looks like I ain't gonna make it to Dec 7th dyno day
cheer up bro I had a simar prob with me but dave made it right real fast I got the 2.5 gasket that was missing in 2 days in a nicely packaged envelope

too bad the donut is too big to fit in a normal envelope. I most likely gotta wait. both gaskets were missing
damn, his cats are $$$$. the ones on HybridGarage are like 139 and 169 shipped, the more expensive one is STAINLESS.

I'm beginning to think that being nice to people and trying to be cooperative really doesn't help for ****. Man something always goes wrong. My emblems got torn off my car after two weeks. I had to get the trunk and bumper shaved. Then some dumb bitch rear ends me at 35mph when I am fully stopped three weeks later. Then some dumbass spins out on the freeway through a puddle and wipes out my car. I'm beginning to think Chinese superstition is true. Black car= bad luck.

.Austin - who is sure that your car will be ready for the dyno day in 2 weeks
Heh, calm down. I'm pretty sure all of us have had our fair share of "bad luck" with the R's. I know I sure have. Just got to try and make the best with what you have.
Oh yeah, and your comment about being a nice guy... When it comes to business no one is nice. You have to take care of yourself.
Good luck on that gasket/donut. Go to pep boys or kragen. I needed some gaskets before and they let me look through their bin.

take your cat to the local napa store and look in the mr. gasket catalog to get a triangular gasket that'll match up. it should cost around 8 bucks as i had to do the same. it only took me 15 min to locate one.
When i bought my testpipe ($50 shipped
) It didn't come w/ any gaskets, but my stock cat didn't use gaskets either. So i just bolted it up w/ out gaskets, and no exhaust leaks.

actually they said three days. they said overnight was not a possibility. and sorry for the inconvenience to any of you who read this post. I was just a little angry that this kind of **** always happens.
And to BustaNutt....i'm sure you are ecstatic when things go wrong, right? Whenever bad luck happens to you, you just say "Oh lucky day I get to wait another two weeks that I should not have had to!"
I'm sorry if I don't like it when I am supposed to get something on time and it doesn't show.Okay? are you happy now? Next car is gonna be something I don't need to mod.....M3........Porsche....
So
to the people that were helpful and for the rest.......

UPDATE: Dave contacted me and all the missing stuff will be here in three days. He said that he mixed up my box with some other dudes box that only wanted the cat. He apologized for the mix up.
to dave's worksmanship and customer service. I understand that mistakes happen in business....it just sucks that the mistakes always include me.
