Default boiling dot 4 brake fluid

anyone ever have a problem with it? i was only driving hard for about 30 minutes and when i checked the fluid level the next day it was right at the minimum level. it was still at the max level when i checked the level last weekend.

you would have to be doing some seriously hard driving to boil that much fluid, I mean like race car enduro driving

check you lines and calipers for leaks

what do you use that dot 4 anyways? I thought the brakes use only dot 3?

Yeah pretty much, because I usually get all my fluids checked every oil change (3000 miles), and I rarely need to pour some brake fluid in (usually only after a number of oil changes). Check for leaks as urbanlegend21 posted...

what do you use that dot 4 anyways? I thought the brakes use only dot 3?
If you read the cap, it tells you that dot 3 OR dot 4 can be used for brake fluid. Well at least the 5th gens do...

your NOT boiling it, your just useing up your pad, when you do that, the fluid gets pushed from your MC to your calipers, so your fluid level gets lower in the MC.. Check your pads out..

DOT 3 OR DOT 4 could be used since 3 gen. of Lude.

i'm not eating them up that quickly.. but i guess it's the 2 extra pistons displacing all that then...
