I plan on getting a SS tubular manifold some time...but in the time being, I was wondering if I can clean up my cast iron manifold, I just have the regular revhard manifold. What can I do to get rid of that ugly color? Any help would be appreciated.

paint it with 1500 degree aluminum or black paint

 

But i thought the manifold would get a wee bit hotter than 1500?

 

It shouldn't that I know of, but I think VHT makes something good for like 2000 degrees. You can always get it coated also.

you could also b blast it

 

it will rust again after that if not painted or coated..
