Building 2 liter right now and want to get as much outta this teeny motor as possible. BUT, i dont not wanna sacrifice daily drivebility <----hehe made a word.
what compression do you guys run on pump gas and what kinda hp humbers are cumin at ya?

These are also daily driven for how long? how many miles per day? total miles on engine?

My car, 6,000 miles on the motor. JE 12:1 pistons and Skunk2 Stage 2's. Daily driver. My ignition timing is at 6 degrees BTDC on 91 octane pump gas. 16 degrees BTDC on 100 octane race gas at the track.

Sweet ***! so maybe higher comperssion is ok.
B19, have u dynoed the car with either timing? what cams using too?
Hey baonese, if the girlies see your sig, your avatar caption aint ever gonna happen bro. for some reason girls, i'm still not sure y but, girls don't like to be f**ked over. do i what i do....find a sweet girlfriend who'd rather give BJ's than shop.

Skunk stage 2 cams- dyno numbers at 16 BTDC are : 199.6/140.8. Not completely happy with this motor. Building another B18C with Golden Eagle 84mm sleeves and another set of the JE 12:1 pistons. Going to get a B16 head and have it professionally ported. My current head is stock USDM Type-R.
I would go 13:1 with 93 Octane and a High overlap cam like Toda C and atleast Hondata for Tuning.
Or 12.4-12.6:1 with Jun 3s and 93 Octane. It's all about your setup and tuning though.

I have a new line of pistons in 11.8-12:1 compression, S2000 Slipskirt design for daily drivers.
They are good because they fit alot tighter than alot of pistons on the market, at:
.0028
And have slightly deeper valve reliefs to accomodate your Toda cams.
They are also a great value.

You get somebody who really knows what they are doing, like Steve and you can get away with that compression with 93 octane.
But I don't recommend it, expecially with stock sleeves. (B20).
we find 12.4:1 is relatively borderline on 91 octane. I don't have 92 anymore, so I can't say, before it was like 13:1 on 92.

hey jeff w/ import review, what kind of pistons are those and how do they compare in weight to the weisco and JE's?
thats some good power steve, but i bet you spend a lot of time of tuning and upkeep. Im going for max power i can get outta "tune it and forget it" philosophy.
is that daily driven too? nonetheless, props to a hell of a motor!
