Default Need to change my oil today, no Honda filter....

Should I just get a FRAM or something or just wait until tomorrow when the Honda dealership opens?

I checked my oil level and it is VERY low, I think its low enough to effect my VTEC engagement (a little late, and hesitant). So what do you guys think?

I've used Mobil 1 filters before.
K-Mart used to have them, otherwise wherever you might find Mobil 1 oil.

just wait or go to kragen and get a filter. IMO all filters, although are different in material and detail, do a good enough job for typical driving. Just change oil on time and you'll be fine. Or wait a day for the dealership to open. One more day shouldn't be a problem

I used fram for my first 3-4 oil changes. They worked fine for me.

Fram :cringe: .... Honda :cringe:

If flow isn't an issue, use a PureOne.

Wal-Mart filters are decent, made by Champion Labs, similar constr. as K&N and M1.

Purolator's are superior to even the Honda filters (proven in many independant tests). I use nothing but those. Fram--I wouldn't use those if I had to.

Also, we had a loooong discussion on oil filters several months ago. Do a search and you'll find some good info there.

I've used Mobil 1 before, and am presently using it. A little more $$ than OEM, but I was in a rush.

Todd, show me the tests, please. Standard Purolators (NOT PureOnes) are now using cardboard endcaps. Avoid them like Fram. Purolator casings are too thin also. K&N and M1s are nearly twice as thick. If you want legit oil and oil filter info, see the forums at http://www.bobistheoilguy.com .
