Default i was just screwing around with my tiens

I have the older tiens that I got about a while ago. well, I jsut got a new alignment the other day, so my camber and all was straight. were werent very busy at the shop I work at, so i pulled the car in and decided to slam it. I know some of you dont like that look, but let me jsut say. I lowered it to the point where there are only 5 threads left on the one piece assembly. not only does the car look awesome, but it launches sooo nice. problems I have encountered though. my exhaust bounces off the road. i only have about 3/4 inch clearence of my RS*R header. and i was driving home from work, and there was a soda can in the road, and it got caught in my front bumper and i dragged it. thats how you know you are low, when you start dragging trash. to make a long story short, i am very suprised that the car still rides well and launches superb. excellent coilovers in my opinion.

I'm hoping to buy some Tien's myself very soon for my hatch. Glad to hear you like them..

Any suggestions or comments on anything I should know or might need?

I've got a '90 Civic STD hatch w/ a bone stock B16.

dang! i thought i was low! I bought some cut neuspeeds (yes i know...they were only 15 bucks) and I am extremely low. I scrape a lot. Do you have any kind of front lip? or bodykit? I have the dx bumper so no i dont. To give you an idea how low I am my foot cant slide but only my toes under my front mudflaps! What size wheels do you have? Me 13's (not stock) I'd like to get some skid plates made to protect my front subframe, but dont have money to look into that yet...gotta get my b16 done first! I only have 450 bucks to go!

Ham'ed.. that is slammed *** dude... Nice job.. is that just chopped springs or what? I want my hatch to sit that low too.

My friends 94 Accord can drag beer bottle caps.. laying flat on the ground (he has air cylinders).. It's not safe with his body kit though (GroundDesigns2000 Black Widow full body kit

i have an 88 crx si with 15" Volk's and Grid 2's with EK-9 Tein HA's and i can't believe how good it handles compared to my last setup which was type-r struts and skunk2 integra rate coilovers. WOW! such a difference! my car is so slammed too i even took out the helper springs and its almost as low as it can go, too bad for the damn 88 chassis with the pass. side wheel problem because i cant get it to sit right. if you can afford teins then buy them so worth it!

tiens are uber expensive.

just get a set of konis and GCs.

cheaper, and far easier to get repaired when the time comes.

plus, you get the option to choose spring rates.

sorry to ***** the thread... , but here's a few pics of the reflector-collector

it's on 3g Accord struts with skunkworks. the coilovers are down about 2" in front and in the rear i don't even use the threaded sleeve.

the accord struts have a shorter casing plus the stroke is an inch longer, allowing more travel, thus a better ride (at that hiegth).

the coilovers are the original skunkworks racing project for the civic. (same as new skunk2s tho).

i wonder why the call it "slammed". oh wait, a bump! hahahaaa j/k..

there is something as too far, and if you are going for pure handling, "slammed" is too far. but you all look like you're going for looks, and it looks good.

Teins about as much as your Basic GC and Koni setup. Around $1000.00 +/-

Tein, not to long ago put a shop in the Cali. so you dont have to send your Stuff over seas to have it rubuild. Meaning, less for shipping and less time waiting.

With All to Most Kits from Tein, you have the option to choose your own spring rates

the color is stock maroon/dark red/whatever. only the front end has been repainted (i rearended a camaro two years ago).

i swapped in the accord struts (didn't mess with the hiegth of the coilovers) and when i put the springs back on, the car was lower and rode smoother.

i don't give a **** about handling or camber. i just want a decent ride at a really low hiegth. that's all i'm after. and as it is now, i'm really happy with it.

ride is awesome. only problem i had was the uca's hit the strut tower until i did this https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=336187&page=2 . other HT members can vouch for the ride quality.
