Help me pass emissions! Tuning suggestions?
Sup Efer's---I have to pass emissions this week, and do not have my stock exhaust nor the money to put one on. I already put the stock intake, plug wires and ecu back in, which I think will help me cause the pg7 runs rich. Anyways my current exhaust is a stock header/b-pipe, stock hollowed cat, and alum. piping to a dc axleback which must stay do to loot issues. How can I temporarily tune my car to pass emissions? Help. Or would I be better off trying to slip the guy a twenty....gimme some feedback cause I know some of you have been on the same boat.
No such luck, I'm really gonna try to slip em' a bill or two cause that will be the only thing to fail, maybe he'll be cool and slip me through. (wishful thinking) But anybody else w/ tuning suggest. help me out....Ive heard of this being done.
Since you have an illegal exhaust you might want to try to use the Pass emissions stuff in a can. A hollowed out cat will eventually bite you. As to using bribery-that depends and I'm not one to go along with that.
Just my 2 cents

i'm not joking here, but a friend if mines, he has 96 626 and it didn't pass emissions, so he put a bottle of "medicine alcohol"...
that's exactly how he told me, and it work...(that was sept. 5)
just funny ****...

yeah my friend put a bottle of rubbing alcohol in his gas tank with a 1/4 tank of gas and he was actually under what he should be...but he failed for his rear tires from doin burnouts...try to find online what you could do...i know that rubbing alcohol works i just dont know how much yo need to use
There is almost no way you will pass w/o a cat....that is the main part of your emissions equipment. If you can get a cat, i would also suggest an oil change, plugs and wires. That is everything we do to get our cars to pass at the dealership I work for. With out the cat you're FU**ED sorry
