I almost killed myself tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got my car back from the dyno last monday. I have the boost turned down to 11 psi and it still pulls hard as fawk. Well tonight I go out to the spot where everyone hangs out at . One of my boys asks me to take him for a ride tonight. So we are pulling out on the parkway and I notice a motorcycle (croch rocket) right next to me. Not thinking twice I drop it in third gear wanting to play around. So were plying around for about a mile and a half or so. Well I was going 130mph and there was a turn coming up I thought I could hang it at this speed. Boy was I wrong, as im leaving the turn my back end starts to come around so I try to correct it by steering the other way. The car quickly switches directions and begins to spin round and round (dont forget i was going 130 when this happened). The car slid for a good 35-40 yards on the pavement before it slid into the grass. Once in the grass im still spinning like crazy and I come within 5 ft. of a speed limit sign. Finally the car comes to halt undamaged (besides the 4 flat spots my tires now have.) As im sitting there trying to get my car started it hit me that I could of died from this little incident. Neither my boy or myself had a seat belt on. i guess what im getting at is im done with street racing after tonight. I got real freaked out by all of this. Just wanted to post to let everyone know that you arent invincible when you are behind the wheel of your car(like I thought). Drive safe and buckle up.

Thee's an easy fix for this...don't drive 130 where there are going to be turns like that.

yeah im a freaking idiot.
. I dont know what I was thinking. It had trouble all over it. It all just happened so fast. i was more worried about where the biker was and the turn kinda snuck up on me. It wasnt a real hard turn, but going as fast as I was any turn is a major turn. Im an idiot stupid, i still cant believe what happened

Street Racing is stupid...but we all have done it.
You need to learn to drive your car, because I'm sure you probably lifted in that turn...that's why your Rear-end came around like that.
FF Cars need throttle when oversteering. Take your punk *** to an Auto-X or some HPDE. I learned so much from even my 1st Auto-X. Invaluable knowledge even for the street.

you lucky. i think u learned ur lesson by now... dont ever do street race again.
i still do street race sometime but as soon as i hit 10 over speed limit i'll let it off.
so this way i know i wont get a ticket and i wont do any damage to me or anyone else. by mid of second gear, i know if my car is faster or not, dont care what other people think, i only go really faster on the race track, but no street.................

Going to the street races is so much more fun than going to the drag strip. At least it was like 10 years ago when I was going.
trying to race a bike
streetracing and going in excess of 130
having a friend in your car during streetracing
i used to streetrace, but i don't anymore..
but i would NEVER NEVER, let anyone ride with me unless i'm at a real track..
come on man, u could of lost ur life and your friend's.
you should never risk your friends life like that, and he should do the same for you..
i hope you learn your lesson..

you are the biggest moron on earth. first of all you should never be racing that fast, furthermore you never even wore a seat belt? doesnt matter, if you hit a pole going that fast nothing is going to save you. did you think anyone here would feel sorry for you if you died? we lack compassion for those who lack common sense.
well we all do stupid things now and then, but i learned a long time ago to put your seatbelt on ALWAYS before leaving a parking lot or anything. you could pull out at 5mph and someone come along and wipe you out. I go to the damage car sales and see alot of poeple that didn't make it, and I hear stories from my firefighting buddies alot also. everyone should learn from this.
Why are you even posting this bullshit? This kind of post belongs in Kills or Members where stupidity is allowed. We have some of the smartest people in the industry on this board, and you bring this filth in here? Don't you understand that it only helps reinforce the fact that you're a jacknob who shouldn't be allowed to breed?
Wow! Gee! I'm glad you told me that! Hell, I was just about to go pancake my slantback and weave in and out of traffic at 150! They did it in the movie, so I can do it too! Hey, see that semi over there? Watch this! Oh wait... Boosted99Si sez that I'm not invincible. Wow, he saved my life! Thanks alot, good buddy!

Ever flew into a grass median? I have.
Things like that arent suppose to happen for us to learn, right? I knew better before that shiet happend to me.
On I-95, my car spun into the grass median toward oncoming traffic. Went from 90 to 0mph in 5sec and landed in a pit of grass & mud. I missed oncoming traffic by 4 ft. I was able to steer a little bit (thanks to Quaife) away from them. Thanked the Man up there
, because it could've been worse..
Damage was minor: missing front lip, all 4 brake rotors warped (because of the sudden cooling of them sitting in mud), and I found GRASS in my brake fluid reservoir

You need to be more carefull, or else you are going to end up killing someone or yourself.
take it to the track if you want to run. good to hear that you didnt get hurt or end up huring anyone or your car though. learn from this one.

Not the smartest thing i've ever heard of doing, but atleast you learned from it.
As someone mentioned before, you should be thanking god, i don't believe it was "dumb luck" that kept you and your passenger alive...
