s2k vs. itr??? :O
.....for some reason, I always thought the s2k was a 13 second car out of the box.
Itr = high 14's...
Well my buddy with jun 3's, i/h/e, chipped ecu (low 190's whp) is outrunning his friend's bolt-on s2k with no problems...
WTF?!

It's hard to get good times in the S2K, from what I have heard. It can do a 13.8 I think stock but most people only get them to run 14.0-14.5. I guess it's hard to make it hook-up

sounds about right - 190whp is more than enough to pass s2000+minor bolt-ons

It's the combination of very little torque at low engine speeds and the greater traction of its RWD layout that causes the S2000 to disappoint at the dragstrip.
The engine hasn't got enough torque to overcome the grip, so it typically bogs at launch. It wouldn't hurt if it weighed less, but at 2800+ lbs. it really needs more torque.
Although it seems counter intuitive, the ITR's FWD layout is actually an advantage with the characteristics of the B-series' torque delivery. The lack of traction allows the engine to get into the fatter part of the powerband without an abusively high-rpm clutch drop.

I'm almost positive I'm faster than my friends S2000 since my friends chipped Passat can hang with him and I can walk the Passat pretty hard. My car is a freak though so ignore me.

I was neck in neck up to the top of third with a friends S2k with I/E, i have crappy bolt ons, 170whp.
so a cammed ITR should definately roll a bolt on s2000

What are u talking about..it is a rear wheeld drive car...it will grip much easier compaired to a ITR with front wheel drive.

ive been walked by an itr before he only had a header/testpipe/stock catback exhaust
i thought it was my crappy driving, i guess its the cars too

I've seen a stock S2K run 14.2 @ the track... again, bone stock.
At the strip I saw a 13.6 s2k with a supercharger and s-02/3 tires.
i ran 14.6 stock, so i guess its partly my driving
hehe me too i ran 14.6/98 or 97 with i/h/e and SHITTY tire. spinning all thru 1st gear and 1/2 2nd gear

my 2L teg eats s2k all day on the track and on the highway, so its no suprise that a 190whp itr is beating the s2k. my 2L is 220whp and 152ft lbs and its really no comparison. what i want to see is an s2k with all the new toda goodies available and what it can do.
