http://www.fiberimages.com They have the best cf fenders. I think they are $800-up but I don't know for sure. I plan to get them real soon though.

I would paint them unless every panel was carbon fiber. Otherwise, it looks like primered parts IMO

Well seeing how he mentioned that he lives in Canada and rust could be a problem due to road salt, snow, and other less the ideal conditions, carbon fiber would be a nice option. Mainly because it wont rust. Plus its his money to spend.

I think it would look fine on a black car, with CF hood.

hey, if you wrecked your car why not? Be about the same as new fenders and paint...looks dope too! Or paint it so you can still see the weaving beneath the paint...Ferrari steez yo!

I ordered a set.

Simply because, the h22 is quite heavy up front and I need as much weight savings as I can get.

just my opinion, i hate cf or fiber glass fenders, if your chilling and you accidently lean up on the fender, you start hearin cracks and ****, thats just annoying, or when your workin on the engine and you lean over, you start hearin cracks....they are just annoying

so you are saving how many pounds with CF fenders... oh wait, I bet you dont even know how much they weigh, or how much lighter than stock they are each....
hahahhaaaaaaaaa, yes they sure look pretty, and nobody should think CF is ugly. I mean this is simply a question of cost. These cost too much to be useful unless everything else on your car is done already.

Hmmm, just a few things I would rather have instead of cf fenders-
Bigger cams, hondata, 2.0 liter block, Quaiffe LSD instead of my ITR unit, HID, Volk CE28N's instead of my Slipstreams, JIC Magic full race susp instead of my Koni/GC's, Lexan rear windows, fiberglass hatch, Fuel cell, lightweight battery and a secret kill switch.. man the list goes on and on.

Yeah the whole "weight savings" thing is bullshit.

Have you ever picked up a stock fender? It's not like it's really even that heavy at all. It's really thin sheet metal as opposed to a heavy-*** hood with supports, etc.

C/F fenders would only go on my car if I had way too much loot and there was nothing left and **** they'd still get painted for sure because I hate the way that painted bumper screws up the whole C/F front end look.

It just looks shitty IMO, but then again it's an OPINION.

I'd buy the hatch before I'd buy those fenders, and yes I'd paint the hatch too.

Reasons I wouldn't paint the hood are that the paint would chip very easily (rocks y0!) and the painted C/F I've seen didn't look so great. Is it harder to prep C/F or something? Looks a tad wavier than the sheet metal stuff.

Fenders are more curvacious so little waviness stuff would be harder to see.

CF hoods do look funny painted especially if there are cuts for vents. A 3kgt VR4 on our team has a CF hood painted and you can really see the weave in it. The paint also looks different under the sun because of the prepping issues. I imagine that painted CF fenders would be about the same. while it might be a nice alternative to find some cheaper than OEM if your **** is wreked, I might recomend fiberglass first. They will be much cheaper and easier to paint. Since the look isn't one of your reasons, this might be a better alternative to rusty metal.

hello, you can go to http://www.dealtrend.com. it is a price search engine, where there are a lot of auto companies competiting with each 0ther to sell fenders. you might find a good price there.
