Eprom question

Default Eprom question

Can I only use a 27C256 eprom to program a honda ECU, or would a bigger capacity eprom, such as the 27C512 or bigger work? I need to know quickly!

i only use the 27C256, try and get chips 200ns or below or you might see lag.

here is a link to the pinout of the 27c256:

as you can see, pin 1 is different depending on which chip you use, so in order to use the 512, you would need to rework the eprom socket...

after looking through the data sheets quickly, i wouldn't use the 512 part...
